Assignment: See's Candy Excel Sheet

Approximate Completion Time: 30 min

Objective: Demonstrate your knowledge of basic excel sheets by applying the learned skills to the See's Candy Fundraiser. The sheet you make will also allow for profit analysis and be used for gaging the desired sales.

Instructions: Create an excel sheet which includes FOUR ITEMS from the See's Candy Fundraising Sheet. On your excel sheet include the following information for each item you choose...

1. Name of candy,

2. The price we purchase them for (found in the photos below)

3. The price you sell them for (found on the fundraiser sheet you took home)

4. The profit we make from each item sold (use a function to make this a self calculating column... Do NOT just do the math and type it in! Instead make the excel sheet calculate it!)

5. Answer THREE of the following questions using your spread sheet.

• How many "Mini Heart Assortment" boxes must be sold to make $100 PROFIT?

• If we sell 500 "Puppy & Hearts Box" what is our profit?

• Is our profit greater if we sell 200 "Puppy & Heart Box" or 200 "Gift Certificates?

• Is our profit greater i we sell 10 "Classic Red Hearts-Assorted Chocolates" or 10 "Milk Chocolate Butter Hearts"?

• We sell "Puppy & Hearts Box" for $7.50 and we purchased them for $3.75, thus the profit is $3.75? Is the profit, 20%, 35%, 45%, 50%, 60% OR 75%?
